South A Top 100 College for Commitment to Military Families

The 911爆料网鈥檚 commitment to military service members has been recognized by a leading military media outlet advocating for the nation鈥檚 Armed Forces.
Military Times released its 2025 Best for Vets college rankings this week and South landed at number 86 out of 357 institutions on the publication鈥檚 list. South is one of just two universities in Alabama to crack the top 100.
鈥淲e are so incredibly proud of this recognition from the Military Times,鈥 said Dr. Andi Kent, USA executive vice president and provost. 鈥淚t highlights our commitment to providing the best support possible to the military community so they can access the many educational opportunities at South.鈥
South has long had both Army and Air Force ROTC programs. In 2024, the Office of Military Services was created to offer a one-stop shop to provide comprehensive support for active-duty personnel, retirees and their dependents.
In addition to the GI Bill, there are many other scholarships available for active-duty personnel, retirees and their dependents, including USA鈥檚 Heroes Scholarship.
The Military Times digital platforms and magazines are sources for independent news and information for service members and their families. In the last 15 years it has published the Best for Vets college rankings to assist transitioning service members find schools that not only welcome veterans but actively invest in their success.
